Commercial Space and Our National Treasures

Kennedy Space Center (KSC), the IRL estuary’s largest shareholder, is quickly transforming into Cape Canaveral Spaceport, a state run launch facility serving the commercial space industry.

  • Federal Register FAA Notice of Intent To Prepare a KSC Starship Super-Heavy EIS
    In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) the FAA has issued a Notice of Intent To Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for a SpaceX Starship Super-Heavy launch license at KSC LC-39A.

    Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate the potential environmental impacts of issuing a commercial launch Vehicle Operator License to SpaceX for the Starship-Super Heavy launch vehicle at Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida.
